On Sunday, September 18th the Town of North Hempstead held their 7th annual FamilyFest at the TONH Beach Park. For the second year in a row, the brothers of PPW Lodge were there supporting the community by providing ID’s for children and adults under the MSID program of NY. This year was extra special as each family that participated not only received an ID free of charge but also a free FyrFlyz toy care of i-Star entertainment. Thanks again for the very generous donation.
On June 6th, 2011, we participated in the 21st annual Harborfest Dock Day and Craft Festival by providing Masonic Safety ID’s to children, adults and seniors. PPW Lodge no 855 has been participating for many years, providing this vital service free to the community. We met many great families and possibly some future members. Good job to all that participated.
In keeping with the spirit of charity and brotherly love, the brothers of Paumanok – Port Washington Lodge #855 agreed without hesitation, to donate $250 to Soldier’s Angels,
“a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing aid and comfort to the men and women of the United States Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and their families. Founded in 2003 by the mother of two American soldiers, its hundreds of thousands of Angel volunteers assist veterans, wounded and deployed personnel and their families in a variety of unique and effective ways.”
For more information regarding this great organization, please see http://www.soldiersangels.org.
The brothers also agreed to donate an additional $250 to the Sunrise Day Camp.
“Sunrise Day Camp, for children ages 3-16, is the only dedicated day camp in the nation for children with cancer. It is a camp designed to meet the emotional, social, recreational and physical needs of these children while allowing them to enjoy the comforts and safety of their own homes at night.”
